Lets Go News!!
Jae Crowder to get $35M over 5 years from BOS
Jae Crowder has agreed to a five-year, $35 million deal with the Celtics, with the entire salary guaranteed through the 2019-20 season.
Crowder was essentially a cast-off with the Mavericks but his solid play for Boston earned him a massive pay-raise to $7 million per season over a long-term contract. It could be a solid value for the Celts if Crowder develops into a DeMarre Carroll-type talent, locking down defensively while steadily improving his FG shooting (41.4 percent) and 3-point shooting (31.6 percent). It's an interesting gamble for GM Danny Ainge and Boston's front office -- other than signing veteran PF Amir Johnson in free agency, they appear content to develop from within this season.
Nik Stauskas headed to 76ers in a trade
Nik Stauskas has been traded to the 76ers.
Pat's and Geno's better get a menu item with Sauce Castillo on it. Delicious cheesesteak ideas aside, the Kings are clearing out salary so they can go after some free agents. The 76ers have some serious depth issues at guard, so Sauce could get plenty of playing time. Still, he hasn't done much to prove he's capable of putting up solid fantasy value
Paul Pierce Agrees To Sign Three-Year $10M Deal With Clippers
Paul Pierce has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers on a three-year deal.
Pierce's deal will be for the mini-mid level for taxpaying teams with the first year worth $3.3 million and nearly $10 million in total.Pierce spent last season with the Washington Wizards.Pierce rejoins Doc Rivers with the Clippers.
Pierce grew up in Los Angeles before playing collegiately at Kansas and spending his entire NBA career on the East Coast.
Monta Ellis reportedly signs with Pacers
The Pacers have signed Monta Ellis to a four-year deal, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.
We'll away final confirmation before we write this one down in pen, but it looks like Ellis will join the Pacers on a four-year deal, $44 million deal with a player option after the third year. Ellis will become a centerpiece for the Pacers alongside Paul George and will provide solid early-middle round fantasy value after averaging 18.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.0 three-pointers a game in a crowded Mavericks offense in 2014-15. To add insult to injury for Kings fans, Ellis also reportedly turned down more money from Sacramento to sign with the Pacers.
Report: Ed Davis finalizing a deal with POR
Ed Davis is reportedly finalizing a deal with the Trail Blazers.
The deal is reportedly for $20 million over three years, and with LaMarcus Aldridge likely headed out of town, Davis could potentially be their starting power forward. Davis has never really been able to get consistent minutes, but his per-36-minutes averages are alluring at 12.8 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. If he is the starter in Portland, he could make for a quality late-round selection in next year's fantasy drafts.
Marcus Morris traded to DET for future picks
Marcus Morris, Danny Granger and Reggie Bullock have been traded to the Pistons for future draft picks.
The Suns will receive a 2020 second-round draft pick, so this is obviously a salary-shedding move for Phoenix, as they set their sights on LaMarcus Aldridge. Morris will give some more shooting to Stan Van Gundy, and he could emerge as a nice low-end, 3-point specialist as a key cog in the Pistons rotation. We'll be watching Van Gundy's rotations develop closely leading up to the regular-season, but it should be noted that the guy in front of Morris on the depth chart (Ersan Ilyasova) has had some major issues with staying healthy. He could also see some time at the small forward position, which will hurt the value of Stanley Johnson.
Shane Larkin has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $3 million deal with the Nets.
This is a rather strange move for Brooklyn as they already have Jarrett Jack, Deron Williams, and Steve Blake on the roster. Larkin is sure to pick up a lot of DNP-CDs if the current roster remains intact, and he won't be worth drafting in most fantasy leagues.

VAMOS AGORA PARA O ESPECIAL CHUPA PLANILHA
Pelicans, Asik agree on 5-year, $58M deal
The Pelicans and Omer Asik have agreed on a five-year, $58 million deal.
Holy cow. It's the last deal of a wild day and it is perhaps one of worst buys with $44 million in guaranteed money (the 2019-20 season isn't guaranteed). Asik wasn't a great fit next to Anthony Davis, but maybe coach Alvin Gentry can turn him around. The Pelicans have spent $200 million on the players that figure to get almost all of their center minutes this year. Asik isn't worth drafting in most leagues.

Alexis Ajinca will re-sign with the Pelicans
Alexis Ajinca will sign a four-year, $20.2 million deal to remain with the Pelicans.
Ajinca was a solid option off the bench for the Pelicans last season with averages of 6.5 points, 4.6 boards and 0.8 blocks in just 14.1 minutes per game, so this deal was a great value. It's possible that Omer Asik leaves in free agency, so Ajinca could be pressed into a larger role if that is the case
Rodney Stuckey is a possibility for Wizards
Unrestricted free agent Rodney Stuckey is "very much a possibility" for the Wizards.
He is hoping to land on a contender and be the team's sixth man. With the Wizards losing out on Paul Pierce, they're going to need some extra help on the bench. Stuckey wouldn't be worth drafting in standard fantasy leagues with the Wizards, though.
